Cefpodoxime Proxetil Tablets

Biotic Healthcare offers cipanate tablets which contain cefpodoxime proxetil salt that is effective for the middle ear (otitis media), laryngitis, urinary tract, tonsillitis, sinusitis, throat (pharyngitis) pneumonia and skin structure infections. This ingredient is also used to prevent acute and chronic gonorrhea and bacterial bronchitis in patients.

Cefpodoxime Proxetil is a prodrug which is mainly used to decrease the growth of drug-resistant bacteria and keep the effectiveness of this drug. The particular drug contains inactive ingredients that may cause severe allergic reactions like watery or bloody diarrhea, flu symptoms, chills, fever, body aches, difficulty breathing, wheezing, cough, chest tightness, swelling of the face, throat, lips or tongue, seizure (convulsions), pounding or fast heartbeats, unusual bleeding or bruising, so before taking cipanate tablet, consult your pharmacist or doctor at once.

The recommended dosages of the cipanate are based on the condition of the patient, and dose should be taken twice in a day, from 7 to 14 days. During pregnancy, cipanate should be kept only if it is prescribed, because this medicine passes into breast milk and could have unacceptable effects on a nursing infant, so always consult your doctor taking cipanate tablets.

Storage condition

Cipanate tablets should be placed at room temperature, like 20 C – 25 C (68 F – 77 F). And, also kept them away from direct light or heat.
