Fexofenadine HCL is an antihistamine drug used to bring temporary relief from seasonal allergies causing watery eyes, running nose, frequent sneezing, itching in nose, throat, etc. Being an antihistamine drug, it functions by blocking the action of certain natural substances such as histamine. Fexofenadine Hydrochloride Suspension is used for the treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and other conditions.
Dosage:
Fexofenadine Hydrochloride is available as an oral suspension to be consumed measuring the dosage in the plastic cap available with the bottle. For children of 2 to 12 years of age are recommended to consume 5ml every 12 hours. And for children of 12 years of age and above that are recommended to take 10ml every 12 hours.
Precautions:
- Do not use more than prescribed by the doctor
- Shake well before use
- Store this medicine between 20 to 23 degrees Celsius temperatures.
- Take medication only after measuring in the plastic cap provided in the packing.
- Avoid consuming fruit juices along with this medicine as it might make the medicine ineffective
- Do not take an antacid within 2 hours of taking this medicine.
- This medicine can pass over in the breast milk, so consult your doctor before taking this medicine
- Tell your doctor if you are allergic to the composition of the medicine or any other allergy in general.
