Met-G1 Tablets – A Powerful Combination of Glimepiride 1gm & Metformin Hydrochloride 500mg (Sustained Release)

Biotic Healthcare offers MET-G1 tablets consists of two powerful oral anti-hyperglycemic ingredients – Glimepiride & Metformin Hydrochloride (Sustained Release). MET-G1 tablets are mainly manufactured for the patients suffering from type-2 diabetes (NIDDM- a condition in which insulin is not efficiently utilized by the human body and, thus, can’t uphold the blood sugar level under control).

Glimepiride helps in lowering blood glucose by stimulating pancreatic β-cells to release insulin and thus, supporting the human body to make efficient usage of insulin. It is also useful in boosting insulin sensitivity at peripheral target sites.

Metformin belongs to a class of medicines known as biguanides. It is also known as “insulin sensitizer” which helps in improving glucose tolerance by reducing basal as well as postprandial plasma glucose in the type-2 diabetic patients. It also works best in reducing the production of hepatic glucose and lowering intestinal absorption of glucose. It actually enhances insulin sensitivity by boosting peripheral glucose uptake and utilization. It also comes in a sustained release (long acting) form.

Thus, this combination of glimepiride & metformin hydrochloride (sustained -release) comes in a tablet form & complements each other in case of type-2 diabetes.

This combination of ingredients works best to control glycemic control & also preferred in order to prevent diabetes-related macrovascular & microvascular complications.
